Little Fire (aka Jamie McGeechan) - 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm

"Scottish roots: An exploration of the relationship between Scottish music and song, the fertile environment of Scotland and the international export and development of the Scottish tradition"

Our international guest Little Fire (aka Jamie McGeechan) comes to us from Ayr in Scotland.

Little Fire is well known for his interpretations and renditions of the songs and poetry of Robert Burns. He was the first musician gifted the opportunity to record inside Burns' Cottage. This gave birth to a record titled 'Roots' which captures the very essence of the origins of Burns - his roots in the fertile Ayrshire earth.

Little Fire has performed across Europe and the UK and has been invited to perform for the American Scottish Foundation in New York, the London Burns Club and Camperdown's Robert Burns Scottish Festival.

An Ambassador for Robert Burns as well as an Ambassador for World Peace Tartan, Little Fire is a proud Scot who enjoys promoting Scotland whenever possible.
